Co-eds April fashion feature

A very late but loving thank you to the Co-eds team for featuring me alongside some of the best (and best-dressed!) girlies on the island.¬†Bahrain’s fashion bloggers offered up their advice to the young readers of the mag, and I’ve picked out my favourite tips to share with you here.

The economical fashion blogger aka Muneera Bubshait of Arabella. “It really comes down to a cost-per-wear situation; a BD200 dress or suit that you can wear to 10 events becomes more affordable than a BD40 piece of clothing that you’ll wear once and toss.”¬†Partner in Fashion‘s Reem BuQais reveals her love of colour, worn in shoes, bags, belts and accessories. “Add a pop of colour to your outfit and you’ll notice how it will complete your overall look.”

Mara Mostafa recommends that you plan ahead, and do a little wardrobe revisiting before you shop. Her current faves? Lace tops, boyfriend jeans, printed pants and pretty pastels. The Style Council‘s Ashwarthy Shyamkumar believes in comfort and confidence. For day – a bright linen tee with denim shorts, for eve – a full-sleeved chiffon blouse tucked into a sequin mini.

The Modest Belle‘s Sara Abdul Ghaffar is all about dressing for your shape. If you, like most women (and me!), are pear-shaped, keep the focus on the upper body. A-line skirts and wide-leg pants are just perfect for pears. And Sketchbook‘s Wafa AlObaidat works it with over-size shoulder bags to carry her 5-must-haves. Gadgets, notebooks, business cards, a camera, and a scarf.

Big kisses to Co-eds, and to my girls xxx
